Who we aim to help
It is the charity's aim to facilitate access to polo to those which it may be of benefit but for which the experience would otherwise not be accessible.
Challenges faced by those that may benefit from the experience of polo are hugely varied and can include: rehabilitation from injury, long term health issues (such as HIV) and difficult socioeconomic conditions. Power of Polo partners with other charities to help identify individuals who may benefit from the experience polo has to offer, whether it is by improving an individual’s self-confidence, improving their ability to work within a team or in any other way personal to the person concerned.
Within our structured framework participants will gain the experience of the sport with fully accredited instructors. Regardless of the challenge faced, all participants must be able to safely take part in our programmes and strict exclusion criteria will be applied during selection to reflect this.
